The following photo was captured in my shoot with Crystal Hopkins.  She was the first model that I shot with during this trip to Atlanta and it was certainly a pleasure working with her. The challenge with this particular shoot was the lighting. The sun was beaming through the window on the top of the stairs and I didn’t bring anything to block it. However, the makeup artist just so happened to be on site. So, I told her to stand in front of the window and block the light. Hey! When all else fails, just use a human body

Crystal is an aspiring singer/song writer and a model part-time. She has also been involved with the Miss America and Miss USA organizations as a competitor. 

This is my all-time favorite photo taken from my shoot with Mercedes.  I have a couple of red walls in my photography studio. So, when I saw those red shoes, I thought, “Wow!  Those would look really good next to this red wall.” Then one thing led to the next… like, “Let’s put this red microwave on the floor… and this red bag…” After looking at the picture I said, “Hey Mercedes, it looks like someone threw you out of your home and the only thing that you took with you was this red bag and your microwave…. We’ve got a concept.” 

People really seem to love this photo, taken from my shoot with Suhalia in Los Angeles.  And it didn’t take long to capture it. In fact, the first snap was a winner. Working with her is always a wonderful experience because she’s such a natural talent, has a humble character, and is extremely spontaneous. While randomly walking down the street with her, you could say, “Hey Suhalia, do a backflip,” and she’ll do it with absolutely no hesitation.  I love it!!  Her motto is “stay motivated in life everyday (SMILE).”

She is the founder of SMILE Fitness and is certified by the National Council of Strength & Fitness organization NCSF.  She has over 10 years of personal training experience and has been an athlete all of her life, so fitness has been a way of life for her.

Shooting with Nichole was filled with lots of spontaneity… The most famous photo from this shoot is of her in a red Target shopping cart with a turntable and headphones (click here to see that photo). However, the following photo is one of my personal favorites. It just so happened to rain that previous day, which made the pavement in this alleyway wet. While walking by it, headed to our shoot destination, we decided to stop and take a photo. I can’t believe how nice it came out.
